I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in North Sydney. The location was excellent, situated in a nice area with easy access to public transportation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were basic but comfortable, with air conditioning and a big bathroom. I especially enjoyed sitting on the veranda and having a drink. The breakfast served was also quite good for the price, with a good selection available at very reasonable rates.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was great and we didn't encounter any major issues.

The old hotel building was charming and gave us a romantic vibe. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed it every morning before heading out to explore. The parking was convenient and saved us from any hassle of finding a spot.
The location was not ideal for us, we felt isolated in the evenings and had to walk uphill from the nearest station. The room we were given was close to the lounge and front desk, and noise from there was audible in our room which disturbed our romantic escape.

Well located and reasonably priced (for Sydney standards) hotel. Somewhat old fashionned but that makes up the charm of it.
Number of TV channels limited and old TV set which cuts off the angles.

The attention to preservation of the Victorian Style. Not the ubiquitous Hotel experience. Charming, very comfortable.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic. It's centrally located, close to restaurants, and has the added bonus of free parking. The staff here are friendly, helpful, and really nice. The rooms on the ground floor are spacious and come with a big bathroom and a nice balcony. I also appreciate that breakfast is included in the rate, and for the price, it's a great deal. The continental breakfast offers a good assortment of fruit, breads, yogurt, and good coffee.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was fantastic.

Lovely environment and interior to the hotel. Staff helpful and accomdating. Location excellent and very quite.
We found the bed and particularly the pillows to be very hard. Found it difficult to sleep because of the hardness of the mattress
